RES-Q
Registry
RES-Q is a globally used platform for monitoring and improving the quality of care for patients with stroke. The project, developed by IT team of Stroke Research Program of the St. Anne's University Hospital Brno, was created in cooperation with the European Stroke Organization, as part of the ESO-EAST (Enhancing and Accelerating Stroke Treatment) initiative.
RES-Q provides an easy-to-use and always-on way for hospitals to:
-
monitor your own stoke treatment processes,
-
compare them with the international community,
-
improve the quality of care for all stroke patients around the world.
The tool also enables hospitals to collect key performance metrics related to the quality of care for stroke patients based on internationally recognized guidelines. It is also a platform for monitoring results and viewing current analyzes of your hospital's performance.
RES-Q is already used by more than 1,500 hospitals from 72 countries to gain an overview of their quality of care.

How does the registry work?
RES-Q uses a simple questionnaire, specially designed so that each patient's assignment does not take longer than 5 minutes.
All that is needed is information about the specific treatment that was provided. Patients' personal identifiers are not collected because RES-Q focuses on improving hospital processes, not on tracking patients.
However, it is not enough just to collect data, we want this data to be meaningful.
For this reason, RES-Q provides real-time dashboards that show an overview of how your hospital is performing in key metrics and how it is performing compared to other hospitals in your country or with other countries around the world.
RES-Q also provides hospitals that want more information with quarterly reports with more detailed descriptive statistics.
Raw data (at the patient level) is also always available for download for hospitals that want to perform their own analysis or publish their results.
Patient data entered into RES-Q are always owned by the hospital that entered the data.
Aggregate statistics can be used for comparison and comparison, but patient data are never shared without the explicit consent of the hospital that entered the data.
